NSW: Fire causes $5 million damage to school gym
SYDNEY, Dec 8 AAP - Sports equipment worth an estimated $5 million was destroyed by
a fire inside a gymnasium at a western Sydney school tonight.
A fire brigades spokesman said about 50 officers spent an hour from 10.15pm (AEDT)
extinguishing the blaze at Westfield Sports High School in Fairfield West.
He said investigations were underway into the cause of the fire which was being treated
as suspicious.
